We are excited to offer a new, 3-hour private workshop with our beekeeper, Christian! This workshop is perfect for all stages of beekeeping: beginner beekeepers, those well-established who want ideas for growing their apiary, or anyone who needs a comfortable Q&A session with an expert! During this workshop, you will learn how to start a new or streamline your current at-home apiary, safety for you and the bees, the best equipment for your personal setup, bee behavior, when & how to harvest your honey, and so much more.
After Christian demonstrates a hive inspection, you will have the opportunity to experience this hands-on, getting a good feel for all parts of the hive while engaging directly with the bees. You will spend time both inside the honey room and outside at the apiary.
Participants: Each workshop is designed for a maximum of 2. If you would like to request a workshop for a group of 3 or more, email amber.harris@whiteoakpastures.com .
Gear: We will provide a beekeeping veil, but you may bring your own. Participants must wear long pants, long sleeves, and closed-toe shoes, and should avoid perfume or cologne.
Scheduling: Christian will contact you directly to schedule the day and time of your workshop. He will offer multiple dates so you can choose which works best for you.
